Mr. Hugo-Martinez brings over 45 years of management experience in the electronics industry as an advisor for Netclearance . He currently holds positions as a board member of iBoss Cybersecurity and RealStir. He has served as chairman of Reaction Design, an alternative fuel simulation company, which was sold to ANSYS. He was chairman of RAMTRON a volatile memory company that was sold to Cypress Semiconductor. Previously he served as CEO of AMCC, a mixed signal telecommunications semiconductor company. For 24 years he served on the board of Microchip and has also served on the boards of ON Semiconductor and AMKOR, a manufacturing company. Mr. Hugo-Martinez holds an MSEE from the University of Arizona and a Motorola-sponsored two-year executive MBA management program.
Before forming Shepherd Ventures, George was Chief Technology Officer and Partner at Nicholas-Applegate, a money management firm in San Diego, where he directed the technology infrastructure expansion necessary to grow the company from a local presence to a network of international locations. Prior to Nicholas-Applegate, George was CTO and Managing Director at Kidder Peabody in New York City. Before that, he held top information technology positions at Swiss Bank, Salomon Brothers and the American Stock Exchange. As Research Director for North American Philips and co-founder of Digital Measurements Corp., George obtained numerous US and foreign patents.
George holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an MSEE from Stanford and an MBA in Finance from Columbia. Additionally, he attended the Optics Program at London’s Imperial College and is a graduate of Harvard University’s Industrial Management Program. A noted technology futurist, George has been a keynote speaker at financial conferences on The Future of Technology. He has served as a Trustee for the San Diego Museum of Art and as pro-bono Chairman of the museum's Investment Committee. He has also served on the Board of Governors of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies and is currently a board member of several technology companies.
Mr. Hind currently is an EVP at Mobile Inc. and serves on several boards in San Diego. Known to his friends as a coach and team builder, Mr. Hind is a highly-regarded, well-connected Telecom Executive with proven operational, financial and business development experience. He was CFO of the QUALCOMM / Sony of Japan joint venture that launched CDMA devices into marketplace in the late 1990's. David then went to Beijing and built the QUALCOMM China team, resulting in the first 25 million subscribers added to CDMA network. Upon returning from China, David took on Global Business Development, which concentrated on cost reduction of devices, which resulted in increased sales of world mobile devices.
Mr. Wilson is an executive with broad experience across the consumer products and retail sectors. He has held executive roles at Market6, Seagrams, Del Monte, Frito-Lay and Planet U, the mobile coupon pioneer. He is currently the CFO for a private firm. Mr. Wilson holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
